Agitate Aerate Circulate

Applications

EMPLOYMENT OF THE OLOID TECHNOLOGY FOR THE TREATMENT OF:

LIQUID MANURE

OLOID agitators represent a huge step ahead in the treatment of liquid manure. With the OLOID, a gentle type of circulation may be achieved so that the nutrients and solids in the manure are blended into a homogeneous mixture. The pulse-type flow slowly dissolves the sedimentary as well as the floating layer. To achieve this, the agitator is operated 1–2 hours per day, which causes very low costs compared to conventional agitators. The gentle agitating method based on the OLOID shape maintains the valuable nutrients in the manure and protects the groundwater against high nitrate loads.

Combined with two 100 W photovoltaic modules, a circulation of manure is possible during daytime hours in decentralized locations.

With the OLOID, it’s also possible to aerate liquid manure in a gentle manner. Atmospheric oxygen is carefully blended into the liquid, and the manure is rendered less smelly. The latter is above all advantageous when spreading it on fields. The OLOID technology reduces the risk of burning plants.

1 OLOID-type 400 B, powered by solar energy, is in operation in a round cattle manure Silo (diameter: 12 m; height: 6 m; manure volume: approx. 400 m3).

With a power density of approx. 0,7 W/m3, the OLOID prevents the building of floating and sinking layer as well as odoriferous emissions. Simultaneously, the nutrients in the cattle manure are homogenized.
