EMPLOYMENT OF THE OLOID TECHNOLOGY FOR THE TREATMENT OF:
LAGOONS / POND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS
Thanks to the pulsing flow it generates, the OLOID will create an optimum circulation and a homogenous distribution of the oxygen transfer handled by traditional aeration systems (fine-bubble aeration, injection aeration, rotor aeration, turbine aeration).

In addition, the generation of waves and ensuing undulation of the
pond surface increase the effective water surface and therefore the O2
transfer by diffusion where air and water surface-layer touch
themselves.
In this manner, aeration performance may be reduced and operating costs
cut down on.

POND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
1 OLOID-type 400 A is in operation in the first aeration pond (52 x
20 x 2 m; volume: approx. 2'000 m3) in combination with a
fine bubble aeration system (line aeration).
The 24-hour-operation of the blowers could be reduced to 7,6 hours of
operation per day, with a slightly higher amount of biological
degradation. Due to the OLOID, the oxygen introduced by line aeration is
distributed evenly in the entire pond (operational O2-concentration:
3 - 3,5 mgO2/l), the entire water body is circulated, even in
corner regions.
