Ultra Sound to combat Algae
How it WORKS!
The term "ultrasonic" applied to sound refers to
anything above the frequencies of audible sound, a frequency greater
than the upper limit of human hearing and nominally includes anything
over 20,000 Hz.
Such sounds are produced by ultrasonic transducers. An ultrasonic
vibration, which is sent by the water and also by firm body, causes in
the alga that the vacuole (smallest liquid bubble in the alga) is
destroyed. Thus the alga dies. The used ultrasonic impulses are
perfectly harmless for humans, animals, fish and aquatic plants.
The dead algae can easily be removed and the results appear
soon. Keeping the units energized prevent the formation of new algae.
Tests have proven that neither plants nor animals are
affected. The ultrasonic waves do not affect humans, animals including
fish. The plants become healthier and the water becomes crystal clear.
The ultrasonic waves are radiated from the transducer over a
radius from 180°.

ultrasonic transducer can cover a radius of up to 500 feet (150 meters)

How does it WORK?
